What is live-in care?
Our live-in care service is designed to offer one-to-one support to enable you to live safely at home surrounded by familiar comforts and routines, whilst giving you peace of mind that there is always a familiar face around to help you whenever needed.
One of our professionally trained live-in carers lives with you in your own home to provide care in accordance with your needs, preferences and wishes. live-in care is a great alternative to residential care, there’s no need to move somewhere new and if you have pets we can help you care for them too! One of the main differences between a residential care home and live-in care is that you are guaranteed one-to-one care, which can make all the difference to your independence.
Live-in care typically includes personal care (supporting with morning and night-time routines, washing and dressing), medication assistance or supervision, helping with daily tasks around the house such as cooking and cleaning and companionship throughout.

Yes, we pride ourselves on finding the right carer for each client, taking into account your needs and preferences. Once we have carried out the care assessment, your care manager will provide you with some carer profiles which includes information on their background, experience, interests and a photo. Once your carer has been chosen we can arrange for you to meet them, either in person or via video call. We will then arrange for your carer to arrive at your home on the date you have selected for your live-in care plan to begin, accompanied by one of our branch team members.

Yes, of course. We understand that many people are cared for by family members who need to take a break from time to time. We can provide short-term live-in care to ensure continuity of care whilst your loved one is away. This can be anything from a couple of days to a few weeks.
We recognise that sometimes the need for respite care can be unexpected, so we can put respite care in place in as little as 24 hours.

No, live-in care and 24-hour care are not the same. Whilst they both involve a carer providing full-time care, there are distinct differences between the two.
Live-In Care: with live-in care, a carer resides in the client's home, typically for several weeks at a time, depending on the agreed-upon schedule. During their stay, the carer is entitled to breaks and adequate sleep. Live-in care is often suitable for those who require assistance but do not need constant monitoring throughout the night.
24-Hour Care: 24-hour care provides continuous, uninterrupted care, both day and night. Carers work in shifts to ensure there is always someone available to provide support. This type of care is ideal for individuals who have more complex care needs or those who require constant supervision.
